Coaching
Coaching is an exciting alternative to traditional therapy that opens doors for a client at a fast and targeted pace. We at Herald Square Psychology were trained as clinicians for many years before we obtained a doctoral degree. Therapy has been proven efficacious and has become more widely accepted over the years. Following regulation, licensing, and strict prescriptions of state laws to be psychologists, we are also proud to embrace the freedom of coaching as an option for our clients.
Often people have discrete and targeted short-terms goals (find a significant other, find a job, get a raise, start a business, lose weight, organize one's life, quit bad habits such a smoking/drinking, create and stick to a budget, etc.), to improve their lives that eliminate many of the broader protocol of a traditional therapy. Coaching can give a client tools and techniques (goal-tracking, checklists, memory strategies, coping skills, journaling, homework, exercises with significant others, self-auditing, etc.) to achieve targeted goals. We become partners with the client, collaborating on actionable items that are by-design strategic and pragmatic. We can help you with a plan and collaborate with you each step along the way.
