I believe that every individual is unique. I integrate CBT, psychodynamic, person-centered therapy, and relational therapy to address the client's individual needs and concerns. My aim is to create a safe, supportive space and form therapeutic alliances for clients to express themselves and explore their thoughts and emotions. If you're feeling depressed, anxious, overwhelmed, lacking self-worth, or finding it hard to move forward, I am here to help you. If you think something is affecting your perception of yourself and your life, your judgment of interpersonal relationships, and your time and stress management, let's explore and figure out these confusions and pains together.
During my internship at the mental health counseling department of a psychiatric outpatient clinic in China, I worked with clients facing depression, anxiety, cultural and family dynamics, sexual and gender identity issues, adjustment difficulties, and interpersonal and relationship issues. I engaged in close conversations with clients of all age groups. This process helped me deeply understand the impact of the socio-cultural environment on people with multiple identities and the academic, work, marital, and parenting issues they face.
I grew up in China and studied in the United States. I earned a bachelor's degree in Psychology from Boston University. I am currently pursuing a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling at New York University. Being bilingual, I provide therapy in English and Mandarin, and my multicultural background brings compassion and cultural sensitivity to the sessions. Let's aim to promote personal growth and discover more possibilities in your life together!
