I believe therapy should be client-centered and take an integrative perspective, bringing techniques from various approaches such as psychodynamic, creative art therapy, CBT, mindfulness practice, and interpersonal therapy. I am also trauma-informed and hope to create a safe space for you to explore your past and create new experiences for the future. I honor our time together in building a collaborative alliance and I am curious to understand you and your life from your own sociocultural background.
I am currently completing my master's degree in Counseling for Mental Health and Wellness at New York University. I was born and raised in Suzhou, China and finished my undergraduate study at University of California, Irvine, from where I obtained bachelor’s degrees in psychology, drama, and criminology. Because of my educational background in both arts and social ecology, I take a creative and social justice lens in understanding everyone’s uniqueness.
