Esther Jung, MHC-LP

Esther Jung (MHC-LP) uses an integrated approach that combines elements of Psychoanalysis to understand root causes with practical Cognitive Behavioral Therapy techniques to help facilitate thoughtful and measurable progress over a specific period of time.
Esther graduated Smith College with a B.A. in Education and American Studies and Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs with an M.A. in International Affairs from where she concentrated in Social Policy and Management. She is a recipient of two Fulbright scholarships, teaching English in rural South Korea and working in the Office of the Assistant Director General of Education at UNESCO Headquarter in Paris, France.
Most recently, Esther completed her second M.A. in Mental Health Counseling with Honors with Distinction. During her internship year, she served as an Individual/Family Therapist Clinical Intern at Hamilton-Madison House, the leading behavioral health clinic for NYC's Asian American community and beyond. Additionally, Esther served as a Group Therapist Clinical Intern at Esther Ha Foundation, serving first and second generation Koreans and beyond to help foster understanding between generations and/or sub-cultures and facilitating perspective sharing and community development amidst varied life/social dilemmas -- with the underlying mission to prevent suicide. Over the past 20 years, Esther also coached students, guiding them towards reaching their maximum potential academically and socially.
