Tomasz Skiba is a licensed clinical psychologist who specializes in providing empowering therapy for adults of all ages and backgrounds. Dr. Skiba values diversity, individuality, authenticity, acceptance, and compassion. Dr. Skiba builds professional relationship with clients by establishing safety, trust and openness. Dr. Skiba sees clients with a broad range of difficulties such as personal growth struggles, work stress, stress, health & wellness, anxiety, depression, men's sexual dysfunction, and many others. Dr. Skiba utilizes a client-centered approach to create an individual plan consisting of a variety of therapeutic modalities to promote change, growth, awareness, and empowerment.
In his therapy sessions Dr. Skiba utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Biopsychosocial Model combined with humanistic and existential principles of functioning to promote awareness, self-compassion, and self-realization.
Dr. Skiba’s professional journey consists of experiences associated with New York State Psychiatric Institute, Memorial Regional Hospital in Florida, and New Direction Residential Treatment Program in Miami, Florida. Dr. Skiba completed his internship at Napa State Hospital in Napa, California and he finished his postdoctoral fellowship at Kaiser Permanente, Redwood City, California. Prior to joining HSP, Dr. Skiba spent 3 years providing outpatient therapy to adults on the Adult and then on the Intensive Outpatient Program at Kaiser Permanente, Redwood City, California.
